    You can register a channel on InfinityChat and manage it by using ChanServ, our channel service. Use this syntax:
    /msg ChanServ REGISTER #Channel passwordhere
    Please note, passwords are case sensitive.

    How do I find a chat?
    There are a couple of ways to find and join chat rooms:
    On the network you can type /list which will show up every public channel currently "open". If you know the exact name of the chat you wish to join, type /join #channelname

    Using Chat Abbreviations
    np = no problem
    yw = you're welcome
    ty = thank you
    wb = welcome back
    brb = be right back
    bbs = be back soon
    bbl = be back later
    bbiab = be back in a bit
    lol = laughing out loud.
    rofl = rolling on floor laughing
    cya = good bye or "See You"
    a/s/l = age/sex/location
    You may see some variations of these, in which case you may need to ask the person who used it.

    How will I know when someone is whispering to me?
    When someone whispers to you, a box (or window) should appear seperate from your other windows, if you talk into this box/window only the person who you are talking to can see your text. If you want to whisper to someone, just click twice on their name on the channel user list, or use this syntax:
    /MSG Nickname <text here>
    Example: /msg Marlboro_Man Hey Baby!!

    What is an Action?
    Actions allow you to express yourself with actions or emotions. To do an action, use this syntax: /me <action here>
    For example, if No0nesAngel wants others in the chat room to know she is laughing, it will make her appear as though she is actually acting it out.
    Example: "/me is laughing" will show like..
    * No0nesAngel is laughing
    Note: each IRC shows actions in differnt ways.. Mirc has a *.. Pirch show an Action button .. WebTV shows it in italics.

    What is the Ignore feature for?
    The Ignore feature lets you block the messages that another person in the chat room sends or "whispers." This is especially useful when another chatter is directing unwanted messages at you. You can ignore as many other chatters as you want. To add someone to your ignore list, use the following syntax:
    /SILENCE +Nick
    To remove someone from your ignore list, use:
    /SILENCE -Nick

    General Questions:

    What is a IRCop?
    IRCops (also known as IRC Operators) are volunteers who monitor the network, helping out chatters and keeping users informed of policies. They are responsible for creating and keeping a friendly and fun atmosphere on the network, so they have the power to keep away from chat users who break our Code of Conduct, and to prevent such trouble makers from coming back, if needed. IRCops also answer questions in #Help.

    Can I be an IRCop?
    Chances are if you ask for this postion.. you are NOT the type of person an IRC network is looking for. Most IRCops are approached.. and did not seek the position.

    How do I get help with a technical problem?
    If you don't find the answers you need in these Frequently Asked Questions, you can go to our #Help chatroom, Forums or e-mail us

    How can I send comments and suggestions?
    We want your online Chat experience to be as fun, easy, and useful as possible, so we care what you think. If you'd like to share your impressions, comments, or suggestions, please E-mail Us.

    What can I do if I was kicked out of or banned from a chat room unfairly?
    InfinityChat is a chat network, which means that users are free to create and control their own chat rooms. When you join a member-created chat, you are in effect agreeing to abide by whatever rules the chat host sets for his or her room. Getting kicked out of a member-created chat room is much like getting kicked out of someone's house there is little that you can do about it.
